THE FUTURE OF VAFC FOUNDATIONS & U9/U10 JR ACADEMY PROGRAM
CCL NextGen is a progressive, forward-thinking, regionalized league system (local games) specifically for the next generation of youth soccer players in the U9-U10 age groups. Currently, there are over 1,300 NextGen players that are improving their skills every day!
CCL NextGen is designed to inspire and unite top clubs to pursue youth soccer player development as it was meant to be: for the player.
CCL NextGen was designed with the understanding that matches for U9-U10 players should not be focused on results and need not include long-distance travel.
The league includes free festival-style events known as and sponsored by Kwik Goal: CCL ScrimmageFests powered by Kwik Goal. All teams are part of a local, developmentally appropriate, Fall and Spring league season, and also include one (1) free ScrimmageFest per season.
CCL NextGen gives the game back to the player through its “Power to the Player” methodology. This proven methodology affords youth players:

- The love of competition
- The thrill of risk-taking
- A long-term approach to success
CCL NextGen offers top clubs and teams the opportunity to travel and host matches together at one site, with the goal of helping clubs grow and build from within. Club Directors have the chance to participate in the process with all their players and coaches at one site, on the same day, and coaches with more than one team will have schedules deconflicted.
Note: clubs with few teams may not play at the same site or on the same day based on tier placement.
